Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) used to promote health and healing in the body. Single-use disposable needles are inserted into “acupuncture points” to activate a natural healing response within the body. Acupuncture has the unique ability to promote relaxation, decrease pain, and enhance feelings of well-being through the release of endorphins (the body’s natural pain relieving hormones) in the body. Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of conditions such as digestive disturbances, asthma or other respiratory conditions, menstrual problems, pain, cancer (supportive therapy), sleep disturbance, anxiety, depression, stress, and many more.
Your treatment will consist of a thorough health history, assessment, treatment, as well as possible TCM diet and lifestyle recommendations. In addition, other TCM therapies may be included in your treatment such as acupressure, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and tui na.
